​Winner of six Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Anora follows the story of Anora (Ani) Mikheeva, a 23-year-old stripper living in Brooklyn's Brighton Beach. Ani meets Vanya Zakharov, the 21-year-old son of a Russian oligarch, and they embark on a whirlwind romance, culminating in a spontaneous marriage in Las Vegas. Upon learning of the marriage, Vanya's parents travel to the U.S. to annul it, leading to a series of confrontations that expose the complexities of Ani and Vanya's relationship. The film explores themes of love, power, and immigrant identity in America.
